The God Who Provides

Imagine a dad named Abraham and his son, Isaac. God had promised them something very special, but then God asked Abraham to do something really hard. Abraham trusted God, even though he was scared and sad. He walked with his son to a big mountain. Just when it seemed like everything was going to be sad, God shouted down and said, "Stop!" In that very moment, God showed them a little animal, a ram, caught in some bushes. God provided the ram to take Isaac's place. This teaches us that when things feel scary or sad, we can remember that God will always provide a way for us.

That was a good story, but God's plan was even bigger. That story was a clue about a future surprise. The real animal God provided wasn't a ram, it was His own Son, Jesus! God loved us so much that He gave Jesus to take our place so we could be with Him forever. So, when we see or hear things that make us feel afraid, we can remember that God is the one who provides. He provided Jesus to save us, and He will always take care of us.

Children’s message

Hey kids! Imagine there are some big, scary-looking bullies in the world who try to make everyone do bad things and follow their rules. They seem super strong, and they even try to make everyone wear a special sticker or mark to show they belong to them, so they can buy and sell things. These bullies get their power from a really, really bad guy, like a big dragon. It sounds a bit scary, right? It's like they're trying to trick everyone and make them forget about God.

But here's the best part! Jesus, our super friend, knew all about these bullies. Right before He went on the cross (which seemed like a sad time), He said something amazing: "The bad guy who rules this world is going to be kicked out!" And He said, "When I am lifted up on the cross, I will bring everyone to Me!" So, even though the cross looked sad, it was actually Jesus' big win! He showed that His love is stronger than any bully or scary thing. We don't have to be afraid of the bullies because Jesus already won! We just need to choose to follow Jesus and His love, because He's the real winner! ❤️

Dear God, thank You for this special time together. Thank You for Jesus, who loves us so much and is getting a wonderful home ready for us in Heaven. Please help us to remember that Jesus is stronger than anything scary, and He will always take care of us. Help us to be kind and loving, just like Jesus. We love You, God! Amen.
